Treatment Room & Nursing Care

Our purpose-built treatment room supports a range of nursing services, procedures and ongoing clinical care — delivered with time, attention and a calm approach.

Includes

Wound care and dressings

Good wound care helps healing stay on track.

Our nurses can assess and dress a range of wounds, including cuts, lacerations, abrasions, punctures, bites, stings and some minor burns.

We consider the wound’s location, depth, infection risk and your overall health when choosing the most appropriate treatment and dressing.

We can also review healing, watch for signs of infection and adjust your wound care as needed.

Iron infusions

Helping restore your iron levels safely.

Iron infusions deliver iron directly into your bloodstream and may be recommended when iron levels are low, oral supplements aren’t effective or tolerated, or faster replacement is needed.

Before treatment, your GP will review your blood results and assess whether an infusion is suitable.

For appropriate patients, infusions can be given in our treatment room with clinical monitoring, information about possible side effects and follow-up care where needed.

INR testing

Keeping warfarin treatment within the right range.

An INR test measures how long your blood takes to clot and is commonly used for people taking warfarin.

Warfarin may be prescribed for atrial fibrillation, deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism or artificial heart valves.

Your INR helps your doctor adjust the dose to reduce clot risk without increasing the chance of serious bleeding.
